IMVU Access Pass (AP) in 2026: Price, How to Get It and What It Unlocks

IMVU Access Pass (AP) is IMVU’s adults-only upgrade. It costs a one-time $19.99 (or 20,000 Credits after age verification), it is only available to players who are 18 or older, and it unlocks more than 100,000 AP-only chat rooms and millions of extra catalog items. If you use adult content on IMVU, including anything from the Black Market, AP is the first thing you should have.

How much does IMVU AP cost?

There are two prices, depending on how you pay:

Two ways to get AP

Option 1: pay with your own credit card

This is the fastest route. Paying with a bank-issued credit or debit card in your own name completes age verification at the same time, so there is nothing else to do. Open the AP page from the Upgrades section of IMVU, choose the card option and confirm.

Option 2: verify your age, then pay with Credits

Use this route if you do not have a card in your name, or prefer to spend Credits.

1. Buy the Age Verification token. It costs $5.50 and you will find it under Upgrades, then Age Verification (on mobile, under Credits and Upgrades). You can pay for it with any payment method.
2. Complete the verification. IMVU uses an outside partner, Yoti, to check your age. Follow the steps on screen.
3. Check your status. Your verified status appears under your subscriptions once it goes through.
4. Buy AP for 20,000 Credits. Go to Upgrades, pick Access Pass and choose the 20,000 Credits option. The Credits are deducted and the AP badge appears on your profile.

What AP unlocks

According to IMVU, Access Pass gives you:

• 100,000+ AP-only chat rooms that regular accounts cannot enter.
• Millions of extra shop items (IMVU quotes around 3.5 million), including adult clothing and body parts for avatars.
• AP-only actions, such as more intimate poses and kisses, that work with other AP users.
• AP Daily Spin rewards, including AP clothing.
• AP-only sales, groups and forums.
• The ability to buy, gift and wishlist AP items for other AP users.

You also get the AP badge on your profile, which tells other players you are a verified adult.

Why AP matters if you use Black Market items

BM rooms and triggers are adult content, and the people you use them with should be verified adults too. AP is how IMVU marks those accounts. Having AP means:

Common AP problems and fixes

• Verification failed with a card. The card must be issued by a bank and be in your own name. Prepaid and borrowed cards are often rejected. Use the token and Yoti route instead.
• The 20,000 Credits option does not appear. Your account is not verified yet. Finish step 2 and check your status before trying again.
• You want to give AP to a friend. You cannot. IMVU does not allow AP to be gifted, since every holder must verify their own age.
• You bought AP on another account. AP belongs to the account that verified. It cannot be moved.
